Beginning my professional career as a community outreach specialist at a non-profit organization known as the Kenneth Young Center, I had been granted numerous experiences to see from a variety of perspectives and engage with community members from all different walks of life before graduating high school. I believe skills I learned like traveling to international conferences, facilitating town halls, and leading youth in coalition building heavily influenced my leadership experiences in college. Union values like solidarity, perseverance, and justice drive the way I teach in the classroom. I am proud to learn with students each day teaching life skills at Bloomington Jr. High School to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.
